The Pirates applaud their exit: is this hell?
CL – AFTER THEIR QUALIFICATION
Pirates victims of hallucinations?
May 7, 2013
While some clubs digest difficultly removal, other, rarer, have nightmares when they qualify. Orlando Pirates must be part of the second category if one refers to the comments made on his official website by his defender Patrick PHUNGWAYO and midfielder Lehohonolo MASALESA. Because according to them, the Buccaneers have experienced "hell" in Lubumbashi.
Imagine the trouble of South Africans have begun at the hotel where they were forced to leave their rooms before noon and wait for their bus for 1:30. We understand their dismay when experiencing the sofas discomfort in the lobby at Grand Karavia Hotel where they were accommodated (!). We are able to say that their excellent lunch was served at 11:30 according to their wishes and no complaint was received at the hotel.
PHUNGWAYO Memory Problems
With regard to the game, PHUNGWAYO said that Orlando conceded a first penalty (imaginary of course) in the ... first half! This means how much his memory has been troubled by Solo ASANTE soaring as the first penalty was awarded in the 56th minute! His partner BESTER would have been prevented from returning into the locker room after being substituted. How long a substituted player joins the dress room?
On a red card LEKGWATHI the central defender of Pirates would have overtook MPUTU in the fight for the ball while visuals show that Tresor was outdistancing him when he tackled and made him fall down...
The goal by KASUSULA was granted due to an unjustified free- kick (yes, really!) And the second penalty the South Africans heard the referee telling the captain of the Ravens how he had to kick it! The mind boggles!
The arbitration was considered outrageous by our opponents; according to them none of the two penalties should be granted. A third penalty should have been awarded due to a touch in full penalty area has obviously escaped them...
Nevertheless PHUNGWAYO notes a happy way out from the hell cause he speaks of the applause of the public addressed to them in Kamalondo as they were leaving the pitch.
Much better exit than in Soweto where police blocked the team until past midnight without any justification. These fabrications demonstrate how our South African visitors are writing history after qualification. Whimsical and totally unacceptable! as it is unacceptable the allegation of non-broadcasting the game.
Why the game was not broadcast on TV
The reasons for non-broadcasting are mainly technical:
- The South African channel had suggested Nyota TV to increase the technical package from 48.5 to 90 MHz provision accepted but required the SABC expenses that they have never agreed to pay. The satellite reservation was already made since Wednesday, May 1 through the channel of Lubumbashi. Failure to pay, the South Africans then ceased all negotiation. Then Nyota TV did not see anyone asking for permission.
- Contrary to the protocols, the SABC did not inform anyone of his arrival with the satellite bag. Landing at Luano incognito in the delegation of Orlando, the TV team also failed to declare the so-called suitcase to the customs officers when they had to. The team of the South African television merely came to s Kamalondo stadium Sunday morning, with their equipment, as in a conquered territory. Its installation was logically denied because of the offenses mentioned above.
The journalists were taken to a VIP lounge together with their colleagues of Super Sport where they were asked not to use their equipment. Despite this prohibition, they tried to film the meeting, which required removing the memory card from their camera.
All technical incidents have led to unpleasant consequence hinder the planned coverage on Congolese territory, which could not take place.
It is worth remembering here that first leg at the Orlando Stadium, all TPM officials had seen their devices confiscated any device capable of recording images, mobile phones with cameras through the shelves, and I Pad computers. That most of these devices have never been recovered and the camera of a son of the chairman was even destroyed ...
Journalists and diplomats received by the Chairman
Final step of our South African hosts: they demanded and obtained the intervention of Governor Moses Katumbi order to leave with their equipment undeclared Monday morning. The Chairman received Journalists (accompanied by the Consul of South Africa in Lubumbashi) they presented their apologies and promised to restore the truth of the facts as they return home.
An approach that proves that the TPM did not fail with the rules of hospitality to all of the South African delegation.
