SINGULUMA, KALABA and Mbola happy of qualification for the trip to Equatorial Guinea

VERDICT OF AFCON 2015 PLAY-OFFS

9 Ravens of 10 are qualified!

November 21, 2014

We now know the 16 nations taking part in the finals of the AFCON, Equatorial Guinea 2015. If there were a contest on the number of players in a club that could take part in this celebration of African football, TPM would put in pole position even if selection lists are not yet known.

Group D: KIDIABA, KIMWAKI, KASUSULA and ASSALE pass

DRC, led by the goalkeeper Robert KIDIABA, the defenders Jean KASUSULA and Joël KIMWAKI of TPM, has beaten Sierra Leone 3-1 Wednesday, November 19 at Tata Raphaël Stadium in Kinshasa, on the occasion of the 6th day of qualifying for the AFCON 2015. The Ravens were three incumbents and therefore contributed to the qualification as the best third (9 points) even though they had to wait the outcomes of matches between Nigeria-South Africa 2-2, Sudan-Congo Brazzaville 0-1 and Tunisia Egypt 2 -1.

Ivory Coast of Roger ASSALE, listed on the score sheet against Cameroon, thanks to a goalless draw as their ticket validated as second in group D. Christian Koffi KOUAME suspended for a red card he received during Ivory Coast-DRC was not summoned but remains a potential candidate among the 23 that will be in Equatorial Guinea.

Group B: COULIBALY yes, KAMWENDO no

Mali, led by the defender Salif COULIBALY, won 2-0 against Algeria and composted their qualification as second in group B. The Raven Salif COULIBALY was the holder. In the same group, Malawi of Joseph KAMWENDO in the race for a place, if not the second of the group or third best is satisfied with a 0-0 in Addis Ababa against Ethiopia. Insufficient!

Group F: SINGULUMA and KALABA, undisputed holders

Zambia of Rainford KALABA, Given SINGULUMA and KABASO CHONGO already qualified and ended with a victory over Cape Verde, 1-0. Only KABASO CHONGO remained on the sidelines.

Group E: ASANTE, in the classical eleven of Black Stars

Ghana will also travel to Equatorial Guinean. Faithful with his number 14 in selection, Solomon ASANTE was well the holder and deservedly contributed to the 3-1 win against Togo. On his side, Yaw FRIMPONG remained on the bench.

After reading all those recorded outcomes by the Ravens during the qualifying for the AFCON 2015, the coaching staff will not be surprised to lose at least 10 international from 17 January to 8 February 2015.

The 16 finalists are: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Congo Brazzaville, DRC, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Mali, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia and Zambia. Draw planned on December 3 in Malabo.
