FRIENDLY TPM-NKANA FC 2-1

Two goals by SAMATTA bends Zambians

March 1, 2015

Before the Zambian modest Club of Nkana FC, the Ravens have put all their energy in the pitch to overcome their opponent. Two goals scored after 19 minutes: TPM strongly started the game before they conceded a goal 16 minutes before the end.

The Men of Patrice CARTERON begin the game by the right end. Solomon ASANTE gave a deep pass wrongly initiated for KABASO CHONGO in the Zambian surface (2nd). Ravens continue on their momentum, Jean KASUSULA on a free-kick found Salif COULIBALY before the Zambian goalkeeper, the Malian defender opens too much his (6th). Four minutes later, Rainford KALABA serves Mbwana SAMATTA before the penalty area, but the Tanzanian striker shoots off target (10th). Mazembe dominates and has many spaces in the image of an overflow of Roger Claver ASSALE who is unlawfully retained in the area: penalty for the TPM. With great composure, Mbwana SAMATTA takes responsibility and puts the ball into the net 1-0 in 12th.

Masters of the game, the Ravens still offer great opportunities: Rainford KALABA his heavy shot at 30 meters is deflected by the Zambian goalkeeper (18th); a strike of Roger ASSALE goes out of the line and in the continuity of the action, Jean KASUSULA crosses for Mbwana SAMATTA who catapults the ball with the head, and it's 2-0 at the 19th.

With this remarkable advance after only 19 minutes, the Ravens still grow but do not materialize and at halftime are whistled to their advantage despite beautiful opportunities by the Zambians to reduce the score

After the break, the Ravens restarted foot to the floor but without attempts. Opportunity for Patrice CARTERON to rotate his squad: Mbwana SAMATTA, Rainford KALABA, Boubacar DIARRA and Solomon ASANTE are replaced by Cheibane TRAORE, Adama TRAORE, Daniel ADJEI and Gladson AWAKO(62th). The game does not have the same intensity, the Zambians Nkana FC they project in front and following a counter-attack in the 74th they reduce the score 2-1. Score which will end the match despite the rise of Thomas ULIMWENGU for Roger ASSALE 9 minutes before the end.

At the end of the match, Patrice CARTERON said:"The players are getting better. We were, for a long time, easily dominating what is interesting because the same team of Nkana had put us in a lot of trouble last year at the same time. I think we're ahead of being ready for this important match of the 16th round of the Champion’s League in two weeks... but there is still a lot of works.”
