After DRC Super Cup, BOLINGI and Ravens will play against Etoile du Sahel

ESS-TPM, a remake of a Super Cup!

Etoile Sportive of Sahel and TP Mazembe had opened the season 2016 in CAF interclub, on the occasion of Super Cup. Here they are now face to face in the semifinals of the C2. Etoile Sportive of Sahel of Sousse, custodian of the crown of the event, facing TPM from Lubumbashi, Africa champion in title: a showdown to reach the final, while the other semifinal a novice, MO Béjaïa against FUS Rabat has already won this competition in 2010.
With two big guns for a place in the final, the word by the Chairman of CAF, Issa HAYATOU, early in final of this competition makes sense: "The cards are redistributed and experience teaches us, in its twelve years of existence, it is the competition of all possible and we had to be wary of the most elaborate hierarchies, which makes the charm of this competition..." A finding that corroborates the picture of two semifinals because the other game will oppose Morocco's FUS (winners of the C2 2010 and finalist of Super Cup in 2011 before TPM) at MO Béjaïa in semi-final for its first participation in C2.
Etoile du Sahel - Mazembe: two brilliant prize lists
TPM (5 times winner of the C1 and 2 times finalist, once won the C2 and once a finalist in the new format in 2013, 3 Super Cups in 2010, 2011 and 2016) against ESS (once winner C1 and twice finalist in 2004 and 2005, six times winner of the C2 all formulas included and three-time finalist, twice winner of the Super Cup and three-time finalist), this duel will have all the flavors!
Apart from the opposition of the CAF Super Cup 2016 which crashed ADJEI 2 goals on the goalkeeper Aymen MATHLOUTHI, Etoilés and Mazembians and met for the first time on the occasion of the final quarters of C1 in 2009. After a defeat 2-1 in Sousse during the second day, Ravens of TPM crashed down Diables Rouges 1-0 at Kenya Stadium for the 6th day to be the top of group B with 12 points ahead of Heartland FC of Nigeria that they found in the final to win the trophy.
