ON THE EVE OF THE GAME IN LUANDA

MIHAYO: « A star facing Primeiro, it’s the team! »

September 14, 2018

A little less than 24 hours before the shock against Primeiro De Agosto, the "black and white" made their last pre-game training on the lawn of Estadio 11 de Novembro on Friday 14 September. In Luanda, the technical staff brought all the qualified players except Rainford KALABA who is internally subjected to a disciplinary measures for breach of his duties as a player.

Warm-up, tactical set-up, a few shots on goal... A classic game-wake training, except that it was conducted on natural grass and empty stands that cleared the calm before the storm on Saturday night. Under the eyes of a few local Mazembe supporters, the players were able to familiarize themselves with that sport arena that Djos ISSAMA and Trésor MPUTU know the benchmarks.

Rainford KALABA not part of the group!

On his return from Ndola, after participating in the Zambian National Team match, the captain did not show up for training sessions for unknown reasons. Without further ado, he was removed from the group.

Pamphile MIHAYO, who has all the C1 players under his belt, does not have to worry about this: "TPM has changed its players, it's not the team that I was captain. Today, the star is the team... they defend and attack all together. The team offers some games..." he spoke to the journalist who told him about this great TPM of 2009 and 2010.

“We prepared this game to take the three points. The danger is to believe that we have already won this match against a team that is not yet well known on the continent. This team must be respected because it wishes to make history. We are forced to be serious. I have focused on preparing my team well, we do not have much information on Primeiro De Agosto so we will rely on our strengths..." he said.
