QUALIFYING AFCON U23: DRC-RWANDA 5-0

MULEKA doubles, ZOLA captain, Leopards winning 5-0

November 21, 2018

Tuesday, November 20 afternoon at the Stade des Martyrs, the U23 Leopards have beaten Rwanda in the second leg of the AFCON playoffs in their category. Arsène ZOLA, Glody LIKONZA and Jackson MULEKA were in starting XI for this match. One of the best scorers of TPM in Ligue 1, Jackson MULEKA has signed a nice double.

Lineuped with the U23 Leopards, Jackson MULEKA is illustrated by catapulting with his head a ball for the 2-0 (32nd). Then, on an outbreak of MUKOKO AMALE on the right, the number 17 of Ravens and Leopards throws himself and superbly takes back the ball: 4-0 (67th). He is replaced by BALONGO two minutes after his second goal.

Glody LIKONZA discreet but efficient

The skillful Glody LIKONZA and KFA-trained was in starting XI as midfielder, just behind Jackson MULEKA. He has shown himself several times, being very present behind the offensive trident of the Leopards. In his role as organizer, he always sought to play forward, leaving his place for MAMBA in the 77th with the feeling of accomplishment.

Arsène ZOLA central defender and captain

The left-footed Arsène ZOLA, captain of the selection, played in central defense, his trained position. It was not a surprise to see ZOLA with the armband. Since the Academy where he had this responsibility, this young man has always shown, by his attitude in front of his partners, that he was a natural leader.

5-0 victorious after a draw of 0-0 in the first leg, DRC will face Morocco in the next round, in March 2019.

Robert KIDIABA and his players (Arsène ZOLA, Glody LIKONZA and Jackson MULEKA) join Pamphile MIHAYO who has in his hand Trésor MPUTU, Trésor MUKENGA, Meschak ELIA and Djos ISSAMA, this Wednesday, November 21 for a regeneration training session before going Thursday to Goma.

Scorers: Ginola MBUANGI (7th), Jackson MULEKA (32nd and 67th), Peter MUTUMOSI (61st) and Nelson BALONGO (81st ).
