LAMINE NDIAYE: FULL 2 Years with TPM.

September 10, 2012

Last Monday, September 3, 2012 has celebrated 2 years as Coach of TP Mazembe. An anniversary marked by the qualification of his club in Champions League semi-final.  This Qualification comes after the match against AL AHLY and which was won in the arena of crows (nickname of TPM). He came in as coach of TPM on September 1, 2010; Lamine took then control of the team technical staff Friday, September 3, 2010 by 9:30.  It was in the sports stadium of Kenya municipality.

In November 2010, the Franco-Senegalese technician who was only two months as coach of the club won the Champions League. Mazembe kept its trophy.  Lamine NDIAYE (56 yrs old) goes over everything and brought the “black and white” (another nickname of TPM) into the final of FIFA Clubs World Cup. With a considerable and historical performance the Lubumbashi Club deserved the recognition in the Worldwide.

Within 2 years, Lamine made TPM the undeniable Congolese reference. His assets as coach of one of the best African soccer teams are impressive.  In CAF and FIFA interclub competitions of the 22 games, the coach lost 3 games (Inter Milan, WAC and Al AHLY), won 13 matches and got 6 draws. With Lamine the team scored 41 goals and conceded 16 during these high level competitions. At home, this hard working coach did not lose any of official matches with the “black and white” may it be at the national or provincial level.

Beyond these two prolific years, the Franco-Senegalese has just broken the myth as the head of technical staff. The Coach has removed from Mazembe the complex that this soccer team usually had before the North-African clubs that were considered as being the bane of Mazembe. From Tunisia to Egypt trough Morocco and Algeria no team wants to meet TP Mazembe, the Katangese machine.

 The Professor

Some critics fit better to say that the Coach has just picked up fruits from a tree that has been planted by his predecessor. Lamine the winner gave them the best of answers with this number of prowess. With the renewed number of players together with the tactical cohesion he made progress in the organization of the game; 4-3-3.  After viewing his video conferences until morning and his briefings before the games in which no single detail was left out, Lamine has allowed his players to compete against the opponents by knowing them in details, that is why the club members nicknamed him as professor while fanatics call him “Mourinho of Africa”. On his side, the chairman, KATUMBI declares that this is the best technician he had ever known for his club.  Both gentlemen are sharing in sportsmanship a profound mutual esteem.

For this second anniversary of Lamine NDIAYE as the head of the club technical staff you can send him your appreciations on the web site “contact” we shall pass them to him with ple
