Tout Puissant Mazembe

You are very numerous to question about the situation of some former players of TP Mazembe for since they left the club they remain unaccounted. Henceforth, we shall identify, through this section, “WHAT ARE THEY NOW?” these former unbeatable children of Lubumbashi are they still around, abroad or are they currently without a lease.  We devote our first issue to Dieudonné KALULIKA who is ready to play for Primeiro de Agosto.  We found him for you.

The young attacking player has been trained by AS MAIKA from UVIRA before leaving for Cheminots of US SAFARI from Bukavu, in Kadutu Township by 1995. Ambitious, Dieudonné KALULIKA immigrated in 1999 in Bujumbura, Burundi; in a Burundian club of Athlético.   An adventure that should succeed on sports basis but it has been destroyed by xenophobia.  The origin of the “goblin” aroused jealousy used by critics at the time of ethnic turbulences divided the great lakes area. Disappointed by this failure in Burundi he quickly come back home, DRC, in US SAFARI CLUB.

From Law faculty to TPM!

He traveled to Lubumbashi to read law at the University of Lubumbashi, UNILU. Very quickly the attacking player is noted during the University interfaculty tournaments and TPM leader approach him. In putting his initials in the Ravens team, Dieudonné KALULIKA mortgaged his second year at the Faculty of law, university of Lubumbashi in 2001. However, very successful on the pitch, a Linafoot title just for the first year for this “talented midfielder but not always strong in his head” said David MWAKASU who coached him after MUKEBA and GARZITTO.

The taste of making a career haunted the spirit of KALULIKA who will disagree with the TPM after 2004, the year during which an offer from a Belgian club, Charleroi took him to Europe.

Instability after Mazembe?

After leaving Lubumbashi since 2005 to date, Dieudonné underwent instability. A club every year! From his first days in Belgium; his future in the elite became difficult because he was injured during the Charleroi test and they get rid of him. He got refuge in Heusden Zolder, D2 Club. The following year he moved to KSVK United, then FC Brussels, then moved to St. Trond via KSV Roulers and went also to RCS Visé then finally to Union Saint Gilloise! (Saint Gillis Union).

Finally signed a contract with Club in the Belgian capital; Dieudonné KALULIKA still has his heart in TPM: “In Belgium, i watch RTNC Kinshasa and am aware every time Mazembe plays. Internet has also facilitated things, so nothing escapes me. This is the reason why i still have my heart in TPM; the club that has brought a lot in my lifetime and the president Moïse KATUMBI  who showed me his vision from my first days in his team” he said.

On the way to Luanda, the Capital city of Angola, KALULIKA told us” I want to go elsewhere” he said. The attacking midfielder aged 29 with no contract still in talks with Augusto do Primeiro with which he would like to resurface in Africa. Because he is known for his skill in front of goal, Dieudonné KALULIKA said he still has his feet of 18 years old! At this age nothing prevents him from aiming high. We wish him success.
