Only the rain could stop KALABA!

"Electric" KALABA brought down lightning on NKANA FC

TPM – NKANA FC LASTED 45 MINUTES ONLY

Only the rain could stop KALABA!

February 20, 2013

After a half time, the executioner of the Zambian team NKANA FC revealed himself: it was Rainford KALABA. This friendly match which started well, unfortunately lasted only 45 minutes, while the Ravens led the score 3-0. After the break, the referee could not recall the two teams on the pitch because of heavy rain.

From the kickoff, Mazembe did not let the suspense cast long on his pitch. The public in the TPM Stadium, (nearly 2,500 people only),  is refreshed before the sixth minute of play, when Mbwana Aly SAMATTA by a strong  strike forced the Zambian goalkeeper to push the ball out for a corner. Ravens perform an excellent start of the game by putting a lot of offensive pressure on NKANA FC.

KALABA, the executioner of his countrymen!

Lamine NDIAYE’s men have set the tone, and do not intend to stop there. In place, they had control over the game, they clearly monopolized the ball. It is therefore logical that Rainford KALABA, in the 8th minute scored the first goal of the game. Upon receiving a pass from his compatriot Nathan SINKALA from the Chipolopolos,  the "Maestro" mystifies the right rear of NKANA FC with two hooks from the outside of the right foot, then with a sumptuous wrapped in a second post, he sends leather into the top corner: 1-0. At this point, visitors have fewer assets to put on the grass against a team of Mazembe which is shaping. Three minutes after the opening goal, a service by Jonas SAKUWAHA reached Rainford KALABA at the penalty spot. The star of the day, with the tip of the toe, scored the second goal.

And then, that would be one of his best goals if the referee had validated: a kick from Patrick ILONGO "Saddam", the "Maestro" is at the fall of the ball, takes it by a superb racquet but for a position in question but not very obvious, the goal is canceled (25th minute). What a pity!

Obviously, he is the half man of the match because it overflows on the left, pass the ball to Gladson AWAKO who strikes but the goalkeeper was on the path (32nd).

Aimé BAKULA, a firm hand

Thinking that the game is folded in 11 minutes, the Ravens are surprised but can rely on a rescue of Aimé BAKULA following a free kick from 20 meters. With a well closed right hand, the goalkeeper of the Ravens pushed away a heavy strike that was a unique big opportunity for NKANA FC. Then, for at least 5 minutes, The Captain of Ravens, Joel KIMWAKI is getting treatment due to injury. Meanwhile one can note some mistakes in defense of TPM, and Patrick ILONGO "Saddam" should have got a yellow card in the 28th.

Jonas SAKUWAHA the other Zambian of honor

Author of a decisive assist on the second goal, the new recruit, Jonas SAKUWAHA, by a head kick, he concluded a center by Gladson AWAKO for the 3-0 in the 32nd minute. A little before the third goal, the rain was invited. It did not stop until it prevents the resumption of the second period...

In a few minutes, the sky has drowned the lawn of "Kamalon d’eau"
