To believe the South African newspaper; Kickoff, only 3,500 tickets of the 40,000 seats of Orlando Stadium were sold. According to Mickey MODISANE, spokesman for the team, the last performances of "Buccaneers" in the championship do not reassure fans!
“We are trying to deter our fans to buy their tickets from the same stadium and we urge them to support theteam. The match against the TPM is very important and we expect the support of the entire nation for whom we are defending the flag.” Mickey MODISANE Told Kickoff.
In Johannesburg, Pirates leaders have intensified messages to their supporters, and rely on the undecided that have this Saturday to purchase tickets. This is a rare occurrence in the sense that Orlando Stadium Is located in the heartland of the same team, a suburb of Soweto where more than a million people live there.
At 5 days of the end of the season, Orlando Pirates has reduced its chances of retaining the title by bringing the 1-1 draw from its trip at Free States Stars last Wednesday. After 25 days, the team is currently third with 46 points. On top of the standings is a matter of Soweto neighbors Kaizer Chiefs (52 points), followed by Platinum Stars (48 points).
