NO CALENDAR BEYOND JUNE 9
The Linafoot imposes a puzzle to Mazembe
May 27, 2013
The calendar of the matches of first leg of Linafoot Division 1 ends on June 9. At that time, TP Mazembe should visit TC Elima and, given the forfeit of Virunga, TP will only have to play against its neighbors of Lupopo to complete the first half of the season.
Today, at to three weeks of the term, the club has received no information related to the timing of the "second leg" of the competition. And some believe that the second half of the competition could simply be canceled, the champion will be the one who has completed the first two legs ...
We do not want to believe this kind of masquerade, but it is still unacceptable that the organizer leaves the competitors in such uncertainty.
For Mazembe it is more serious than for others because the national competition must be its "test bed" for the CAF Confederation Cup.
For the continental championship, they already know the dates, for example the first three weekends: July 19-20-21, August 2-3-4, August 16-17-18, etc... But so far, they cannot decide on their method of preparation, not knowing whether they will or not be mobilized in the league.
If there are no second legs in June / July, they will have to properly organize an internship with friendlies to be effective in CAF Cup. But an internship is preparing far enough in advance, due to hotel reservations, schedule of opponents to meet, etc... In short, it should be organized in the coming days. But if TPM chooses this option, it is possible that the Linafoot wakes them and "glue them” the dates of the matches where they will be training abroad.
This is the puzzle which the TPM is facing for years. And the National League which will end one day, because it disrupts his best representative, the same that gets notes for other clubs when it gets good results in the continental level. But that nobody seems to have understood. Unless nobody wants to understand...
