Recovery with a reduced number in MAZEMBE
They are no longer 16 but 17 selected! ...
June 5, 2013
Thirteen players not one more. This is a platoon “a minimum” that resumed the training session on Monday afternoon at Kamalondo. The fault is to the international “break”, which involves more than half of the workforce. The 16 selected players that we had on Monday rose to 17 on Tuesday. Explanations.
Patrice CARTERON had probably planned differently his first training session on the Katanga soil. On Tuesday, he had only 10 true "workers" (including 3 Congolese ...) in hand: Aimé BAKULA, Patient MWEPU, Ousmane CISSE, Patrick ILONGO, Eric NKULUKUTA, Gladson AWAKO, Jonas SAKUHAWA, Daniel ADJEI, Francis KASONDE and Boubacar DIARRA.
On their side, Given SINGULUMA, Mao KABIONA and Yaw FRIMPONG, only three members of the team that played in Mozambique, were busy doing traditional slagging exercises under the supervision of Florian MULOT.
Only two forwards on the grass (SAKUHAWA and CISSE) because Cheibane TRAORE, had a sore shoulder and was under medical treatment. As for Alou BAGAYOKO and Patou KABANGU were absent but we don’t know the reasons.
BOKANGA hospitalized, a German under test
We reported yesterday that there would be 16 missing, selected by their respective selection. We did not know then that Herve RENARD had shortened the list and eliminated SAKUHAWA. However, Patrick OCHAN and Mike MUTYABA left for Uganda before their calling arrives to the club ... 16-1+ 2: they are 17 at this day called by their coach. What could be better?
However, no luck for Eric BOKANGA, suffering from malaria while he was ready to take his flight, and he had to be treated at the CMC hospital in Lubumbashi.
To conclude with the issue of the effectives note the participation in training session of a German player Manuel MARCHEL who is under test for a few days. This is an attacking midfielder we’ve been told. As for the young MAZEL (the goalkeeper of FC Nguena) he was convened to accompany Aimé BAKULA in opposition exercises.
Deferral request against Elima
Under the conditions we have just described above, it is hard to imagine TP Mazembe travelling to Socol stadium in Boma on Sunday to play against Elima. This is very logical, as the secretariat of the club has confirmed with us that the Ravens requested Linafoot to postpone the match. But on the Linafoot side the secretariat confirms the match in Boma on Sunday, June 9 ...
