Three Botswana with Don Bosco!

David PHENYO MONGOLA, Dirang THIRDBOY MOLOI and Jerome Otto RAMATHLAKWANA are the three new recruits of the Salesians. These three international from Botswana, former of Mochudi Centre Chiefs have each one signed a 5 year contract with the club of president CHAMPION KATUMBI.

After the arrival of Ernest SOWAH, Ibrahim ISSAKA from Ghana, Joseph SITALI,  Oswald KALAMBA and Luka LUNGU from  Zambia; Carrington NGOMBA,  Darryl NYANDORO and Christopher SEMAKWERI from Zimbabwe,  Bel’Ange EPAKO from Congo-Brazzaville, the Ugandan Godfrey WALUSIMBI – who returned to his country without the club notice after the elimination in CAF Cup and  thereby terminating his contract unilaterally – and Congolese Eric KABULO,  Cedric BAKALA LANDU (goalkeeper), Tresor ILUNGA KAYANDA (lent by the TPM). The coach Andy MFUTILA receives three other reinforcements who expand his workforce before the mid-season.

A brief profile of these new recruits:

1. David  PHENYO  MONGOLA (28) Forward: Former player of Mochudi Center he’s been trained by Township Rollers of Botswana (2002-2006) a club with which he won the Botswana championship and the  Botswana Cup in 2005. He was recruited by the South African club of the University of Pretoria (2006-2009), then he moved to Orlando Pirates (2009-2012) where he won with "Buccaners' the championship in 2012. The same year, the Bloemfontein Celtic enrolled him in its ranks. A transfer that won’t last long because he will soon go back to his University of Pretoria, the club that brought him to South Africa. In 2013, Mochudi who is qualified in Champions League CAF uses his services. His impressive performances with the Botswana encouraged Don Bosco leaders to trust David PHENYO MONGOLA.

2. Jerome Ontiretse Otto RAMATLHAKWANA (28) is a forward, also a former player of Mochudi. Trained in Mogoditshane Fighters (2005-2006), he moved to Mochudi Centre Chiefs 2006-2007. Then in 2008 he migrated to Cyprus where he spent a few months in the club APOP Kinyras Peyias FC. The adventure ends very quickly, but he does not go back to his homeland and returned to Africa by South Africa in Cape Town with Santos (2008-2009). Then he is lend to Thanda Royal Zulu in 2009, and spent the next year in Vasco da Gama still in the land of Nelson Mandela. Jerome who could not impose himself outside the country went back to the land of his ancestors to restart with Mochudi Centre Chiefs where he is tracked by Don Bosco.

3. Dirang THIRDBOY MOLOI (27 years). He is 1.78 m, one of the new recruits of the Salesians is a midfielder. Trained by Notswane FC, he signed his first professional contract with Mochudi Center Chief in 2009; he was then loaned to the South African club Vasco de Gama 2010-2011. Back to Mochudi in Botswana, he won the national championship that qualifies the team in CAF Champions League 2013.

Arrived in Lubumbashi in the second half of May, the three recruits have already joined the Salesians group of Coach Andy MFUTILA. Currently, they are in the national team for the Mundial 2014 playoffs with Zebras (Red Lantern Group A with one point) to receive for the fourth day the Ethiopian leader (7 points) on 8 June at Lobatse in Botswana and in Central African Republic on the 15th inst.

Currently 4th in the partial ranking of D-1 (21 points), CS Don Bosco will much rely on the three new recruits during the second leg of the national championship phase. The objective of this recruitment is to pick one of the three qualifying places in the CAF Cup interclub competitions after the failure of this year in the preliminaries before SuperSport United.
