Table tennis allows Ravens relax in a good mood
FIRST WEEK OF INTENSIVE INTERNSHIP
The day's program at the Accra HQ!
July 9, 2013
The Ravens concluded Saturday night, their first week of internship in Accra. After heavy hours of workouts with two training sessions at the end of every day, the Ravens don’t see the time spent. Between the physical and tactical work with Patrice CARTERON, medical cares, meals and recovery times, players very busy and attended all workshops a new life, that of "guerrillas".
What is a training day like for a Raven? ... No sleep long, wake up by 7:00 to 7:30, a shower to freshen up before going to the restaurant and have breakfast at 8:00. After that, the day begins with the first training session. Very popular, Ravens arouse the attention of all visitors at Lizzy Sports Complex in Accra who sometimes they wait for hours to have a photograph with one of them. Robert KIDIABA and its famous dance of celebrating a goal (the "Kidibouake") is the most requested.
The coach CARTERON treats work programs
Back in the room, time is running between a shower to remove sweat and restaurant where you must go relax for lunch. In this period of preparation, where the physical effort is high, the environment must be healthy and the coaching staff has a very demanding eye on dietetics. In the interval before having lunch, some players are happy with some table tennis (Joel KIMWAKI, Gladson AWAKO, Jean KASUSULA, Aimé BAKULA playing especially the referee, Given SINGULUMA, SUNZU STOPPILA, etc.) and the Assistant coach Pamphile MIHAYO not too tired to enjoy table tennis.
After lunch, the players return into their rooms for a nap but before that, those who took video games with them (FIFA 2013 in particular) spend a few minutes on gadgets and TV for entertainment. One way to liven up the room by confronting each other in turns (Hichani HIMONDE and Aimé BAKULA are the two that play at their heart content).
At 17:00, the group leaves their rooms for the second training session and some injured players still go for medical cares or are directed to a hydrotherapy session. At 19:00, the Ravens meet for dinner and end their day with care to remove all the accumulated fatigue.
In battle, the Ravens are for one week. At full speed.
