Lassana DIARRA: «Work, earn and win...»

February 12, 2014

Lassana DIARRA and Adama TRAORE, who arrived in Lubumbashi on Monday, have passed a medical test on Tuesday in Club sports medical center. The two forwards who passed the test have quickly joined the group in training session. Lassana DIARRA who gave us a brief interview and his fellow-countryman Adama TRAORE spent their first hours – first in the morning at TPM Stadium and then in the afternoon in the gym hall of Golf – under the supervision of Patrice CARTERON.

DIARRA explained to us reasons for him to choose Mazembe: "All Malian players dream to leave the country to join top clubs, so it was also mine. I'll be part of a great team on the continent, I dream of facing big clubs and big players in Africa. I will fight to achieve my first objective is to hold a position and then win titles with Mazembe. In Lubumbashi, I will not be alone because I find a very large family of African football, the TPM. The DRC is now my new country, I hope to make history of this club, to help them progress and I will focus on my football knowledge to act quickly with fans ...

Working for deserving before winning

I will not burn steps, even if the objective of the club in recruiting me is to help the team win titles. It is important for me to work first. The TPM is a great team it is up to me to adapt to make the team more competitive and I think that success will be at the rendezvous. I also want to earn points in the club in order to have my place in Malian national team."

In Lubumbashi like at home in Bamako

"They extended a very warm welcome to us, Adama TRAORE and me. We found a very good atmosphere in the group. The right attitude towards us is a vital element for our integration. Thanks to leaders, members of the technical staff, players and all the people who welcomed us in Lubumbashi. I just integrate a large African family, TPM that I knew in reading newspapers and watching TV. I am proud to be here and I look forward to know more about this team and the city of Lubumbashi."

There are only a few administrative details in the country for the inclusion of Lassana DIARRA and Adama TRAORE in Linafoot. They will play in the Champions League only in quarterfinals. Unless they impose themselves very soon…
