Ravens the winners thanks to the fox KALABA

D1, Day 7 : MUUNGANO-MAZEMBE 0-1

A nice move signed KALABA

December 3, 2014

TPM has resumed with win away, winning 1-0 before Muungano this Sunday, November 30 at the Concorde stadium in Bukavu, on the occasion of the 7th day of D1. Dominating, the Ravens have made the show, and it's the "Maestro" Rainford KALABA that rescued the team at the end of the game. Only downside: the end very agitated by tear gas after the manhunt led by supporters of Muungano.

At kick off, Ravens couldn’t make gift! They start the game foot to the floor and Yannick TUSILU launches Salomon ASANTE a forwardpassbut the small Ghanaian striker misses its crossing ball. Soon, the trend is taking shape; the ball is for Mazembe with a head kick by Salif COULIBALY, on corner kick by Solomon ASANTE, which will fail on the goalkeeper (3rd). Then following another stopped ball in the 8th, KABASO CHONGO inherits a good ball in the penalty area, but it is off target!

Ravens unleash nothing but despite the high ball possession compared to the opponent, they come up against a midfielder and defense of Muungano well gathered. Robert KIDIABA is not worried and he is calm on two shots on target by the end of the first quarter of an hour.

KALABA deserved a  penalty...

Despite the resistance, Mazembe will not cogitate long, Rainford KALABA is fouled in the penalty area, but the referee keeps his whistle in his pocket before this flagrant foul (29th). Amazed at the passivity of Leon KIKUMBI denying him a penalty Rainford KALABA has the mistake of turning to the man in black: he takes an undeserved yellow.

Muungano tries to get back on the right track but can't go right through the Mazembe defense. When Salif COULIBALY is dribble on the right, it's Petit ONEDIKA who rescues in catastrophy following a penetrating pass into some millimeters (31st). Even on a lost ball in the penalty area as a result of poor communication between Robert KIDIABA and KABASO CHONGO, the teammates of John EBUNGA shot off target while the goal is empty (34th).

Ravens are the ones who ended up the first half in the best way, first of all Cheibane TRAORE who fouled in the penalty area. No penalty said the referee. Then it’s Solomon ASANTE who lost the goal ball following a counterattack. 3 against 2, the small Ghanaian striker takes the wrong decision by attempting a dribble too (42nd). Halftime was whistled on an obviously flattering draw for the local team.

After the break, calm defensively Mazembe is also inspired offensively in the image of a superb strike by Solomon ASANTE whose shot came close to the crossbar (49th). Dominating, the Ravens are going to settle in the Muungano camp, which this time will play against the clock. On all the duels players remain lying on the grass. The time for Patrice CARTERON to first launch Jonathan BOLINGI in the place of Cheibane TRAORE (61st) and Thomas ULIMWENGU for Gladson AWAKO (69th).

Some minutes after his coming into play, the Tanzanian was about to offer the opening of scoring to his teammates, it’s pity he’s caught at the last moment. Other big opportunity: following a good job by Jonathan BOLINGI on the right side, his crossing ball, missed by Solomon ASANTE, is transformed into a goal pass but Thomas ULIMWENGU can’t manage(72nd)!

... suddenly appears to score

At the end of the game, Mazembe besiege the Muungano camp, continues with corner-kicks until the one in the 89th which will be fatal for the local team. The corner is kicked by Solomon ASANTE, Daniel ADJEI at the reception of Yannick TUSILU move, drops a strike that the goalkeeper diverts... As a true fox on the surface, in Muungano defense in panic, Rainford KALABA with head net a goal, 1-0 in the 89th.

The calculation is good: three precious points away! As we could expect it, the last whistle blows in total confusion organized from the stands by Muungano supporters. After using sticks and throwing stones, they attacked players, who were, fortunately, protected by the police as they make use of tear gas to disperse these trouble makers.

Upsetting!
