A 2nd half well controlled by Fabrice MBAYA and his comrades of the KFA
EUFLU, Day 13 : KFA-FC BRASIMBA 4-1
The Academicians in the mood
December 11, 2014
For this first match of the second leg of EUFLU, the Academicians faced FC Brasimba this Monday, December 8 at 14:00 at Kibassa Stadium. Great challenge against a team they had never beaten so far, two losses last year and a draw in the first leg. After a well controlled game, they have won 4-1. A victory that the entire Academy dedicated to coach Willy MUNGONGO Fish, hastily returned to Kinshasa on Saturday due to bereavement.
Right from the kick-off and according to their custom, the Ravens ensured control of the ball. FC Brasimba countered with a more physical game conceding many free-kicks that young Ravens did not maximize. Even though the referee had been very (too) clement on several actions of brutality, the Academy remained strong in the duels.
Pretty little opportunity to either side until halftime: 0-0 made sense although the Academicians applied to use their opponents by their ball circulation. But before returning to the locker room, there were two consecutive errors by the young and talented MBOMA FULUTUMBI, uncomfortable against FC Brasimba to cause a large penalty fortunately hit the crossbar (43rd). Halftime occurred on this goalless draw.
Double signed Jonathan MUKONDO
After the break, the young Ravens rose their game level and proved that good attitude pays off. Although initiated by Glody LIKONZA, Jonathan MUKONDO placed the ball over the head of Pélé MANZANZA for the opening of the score (48th). Without ever being in danger, KFA would nevertheless be joined on poor control of Christ KISANGALA and hesitation by the goalkeeper Jomard ILUNGA (54th), 1-1.
Not discouraged, the young Ravens restarted on offensive and on an opening by Glody LIKONZA, Jonathan MUKONDO avoided the goalkeeper and restored the advantage to the KFA (60th). Nothing could stop the Academicians and well served by Pelé Manzanza, Jonathan MUKONDO signed his doubled by increasing the score 3-1 in the 70th. In the dying moments, a double by Fabrice MBAYA - came in a few minutes before - allowed Zao MATUTALA to close the adding: 4-1.
Next match of the KFA this Friday, December 12th at 16:00 against Caf-Les Stars.
