Zak and Goalkeepers a huge psychological work
C1: WORK INTENSIFIES IN TANGER
Zakaria ALAOUI in contact with goalkeepers
July 8, 2015
He returned to the coaching staff as an assistant coach in charge of the preparation of the goalkeepers. Zak ALAOUI is updating us on the first workout with Robert KIDIABA, Aimé BAKULA and Sylvain GBOHOUO from Tanger.
A first meeting with goalkeepers, what is your comment in this sector?
The first session is to reassure the three goalkeepers on their technical and physical level. It went well and especially they have the mind turned towards the match against Moghreb Tétouan. My role is primarily to ease psychologically and tactically for the game after going on as best as possible.
What was your remarks just few days before the match?
Facing Tétouan, it will be a very important game for three points away. Nothing else to say to the goalkeepers a few days of this game. I cannot change my speech in case they are disturbed. Certainly, there are specific instructions in connection with the game and the quality of the opposing team. We should simply reassure them and tell them they are on top. This is the case with what I saw when working with Robert, Aimé and Sylvain. The match will be played for 90 minutes; they should not become weak in their mind. It's not worth thinking about the future you cannot handle even not the past. This must be done in present to better succeed in this mission that we have before Moghreb Tetouan.
How did you find Sylvain GBOHOUO?
I was worried about his knee injury. I stayed in touch with Patrice CARTERON and Tahar MESSAOUD to be informed about him. Apparently, it is going very well. For my first session with him, he worked properly and I noticed that he had no hesitation, still less a physical problem. It's good for the TPM to have goalkeepers of this caliber. The club did well in anticipating things and in giving another boost to the TPM for the future. We know that Robert KIDIABA is one of the best on the continent, but it is clear that at some point the body cannot keep up. Whether Sylvain GBOHOUO, Aimé BAKULA or Ibrahim MOUNKORO, the TPM has very good goalkeepers.
