NOMINEES OF GLO CAF AWARDS 2015

In Africa, it is SAMATTA the best

January 8, 2016

TP Mazembe striker Mbwana Aly SAMATTA was voted best player based in Africa. That is the verdict of the evening Glo CAF Awards rewarding the best players who shone on the continent in 2015. A distinction he receives for the first time. In this pantheon where the club displayed its players who distinguished themselves in Africa, the photo of Mbwana Aly SAMATTA joins alongside TSHINEM MBWANGA (1973) and Trésor MPUTU MABI (2009).

The exceptional performance of the center forward of TPM thus not escape the jury that awarded the meteoric rise of the Tanzanian scorer. Brilliant in the Champion’s League with 7 goals, the native of Dar-Es-Salaam has established himself as a key player in the attack of the Ravens and the Tanzanian selection. The scorer of Ravens succeeds Firmin MUBELE in the ranking of best player based in Africa.

A trophy also for KIDIABA behind Samagoal

The great Robert KIDIABA, absent in the Japanese campaign, has logically finished second in the ranking of best player playing in Africa. With its high level of performance with the Leopards of the DRC (3rd AFCON Equatorial Guinea) and again with his TPM where he won the CAF Champion’s League, KIDIABA showed he had talent and character. It’s spectacular saves and often decisive allowed the goalkeeper to be ranked in the wake of Samagoal and bring back a trophy in Lubumbashi.
