ALEXA’S RANKING
TPM, 8th most visited Congolese website

Company based in San Francisco belonging to the Amazon group, ALEXA provides interesting statistics on the world web traffic. A quick glance at the news updated to December 10 reveals that the official website of TP Mazembe behaves rather well.
Alexa has data on the first 25 million websites. To put this in the context of the web planet, it is important to know that there are over 166 million sites on the Internet. On the global level, three web giants are on the podium: Google, Youtube and Facebook.
The study carried out in the Democratic Republic of Congo reveals the following main findings:
1. The six most visited websites in the DRC are not Congolese. Google.com and google.cd ahead of youtube.com, yahoo.com, google.com and wikipedia.org. These search engines come first in the vast majority of countries.
2. In the Top 15 most visited websites in the DRC, there are only two Congolese sites, those of mediacongo.net and Radio Okapi.
3. In the Top 30 most visited websites in the DRC, there are only four Congolese sites, including actu.cd.
4. The 10 most visited Congolese websites: 1. Médiacongo.net (7th in the national ranking / NR), 2. RadioOkapi.net (8th in NR), 3 .7sur7.cd (17th in NR), 4. Actu.cd (30th at NR), 5. Politico.cd (76th in NR), 6. Eduquepsp.cd (81st in NR), 7. Vacradio.com (95th in NR), 8. TPMazembe.com (104th in NR), 9. Direct.cd (108th in NR) and 10. Sodeico.org (111th in NR).
