After KFA, Ecofoot also ambitious
TRANING, TPM PRIORITY
« Ecofoot Moïse KATUMBI » champion of Katanga
June 9, 2017
The club lives happy days in Tout Puissant Mazembe. The Moïse KATUMBI Soccer School won the provincial championship of Katanga after winning the urban championship. This year, this Ravens' training center has already given two young players to the professional team: Lumière BANZA and Jackson MULEKA.
While they waited for a firm footing to play the final on Tuesday, June 6th in Kolwezi, the young of the Moïse KATUMBI Soccer School won the provincial championship of Katanga... on the green carpet. The two semi-finalists Kilimandjaro and Manika who lined up non-eligible players were awarded a double forfeit that paves the way for our young schoolchildren. The Young's second training center had secured its place in the final on Saturday (June 3rd), following a completely crazy match before FC Blessing. Led 2-0 in Kolwezi, Ecofoot KATUMBI equalized before winning 4-2 after the penalty shootout!
Immediately informed of this achievement, the TPM management warmly welcomes the young players of Moïse KATUMBI Football School and the technical staff. This provincial title is added to the brilliant record of the KFA, finalist of the DRC Cup in 2013 and has become a very promising team in the championship of Lubumbashi.
Thus, the investment of Chairman Moïse KATUMBI has gradually borne fruit and his permanent commitment over the past ten years, demonstrating a willingness to make youth training in TPM a reference in the DRC and in Africa. Today, the work accomplished with passion and the technicians' demand is bearing fruit.
On his side, the TPM boss promises to all young people registered in his centers a conducive place for the development of their talents to contribute to a radiant future for the Congolese football. Thanks to them, TP Mazembe can look to the future with optimism and ambition.
Congratulations to these young people who are now at only two or three games of the national championship. Remember that they will play a qualifying round to play the D1. This round will oppose the champions of the provinces, grouped in three zones: the two Kasaï and Katanga. The Linafoot will set up a program in days that follow.
