Trésor MPUTU pre-selected among local Leopards

After a little more than three years of absence, Trésor MPUTU will make his return to the DRC national team for the double confrontation against Congo Brazzaville in CHAN Playoffs, Kenya 2018. Of the 34 shortlisted players there are 7 TPM players.
Following it publication on her website, FECOFA communicated a list of the 34 names shortlisted by the new boss of local Leopards Chicco MUKEBA KATOTOLO. The coach of SM Sanga Balende is appointed in replacement of Jean-Florent IBENGE who will still keep his cap of coach of the national team A. FECOFA wanted to unload IBENGE of some responsibilities in view of its multiple occupations. The Franco-Congolese technician will have had the merit of leading local Leopards until February 2016 in Rwanda.
Trésor MPUTU thanked FECOFA and the new coach as he was informed early this morning: "Today, when I took over at the TPM, I am not surprised to be part of this pre-selection. Since I am improving my play level with my team, my performances in the national championship and in the Confederation Cup are in my favor. DRC is my country that I serve and serve with love. I will never refrain from participating in the successes of my country. I promise to comply with the requirements of the Federation and coach Chico MUKEBA whom I respect. Back in the selection after several years, it's always a pleasure. I came back to the TPM and worked and continued to do so. Congo Brazzaville-DRC, the first leg will be played on the weekend of 11-13 August 2017 and the second leg one week after in Kinshasa, from 18 to 20 August 2017. The winner of this double confrontation will be directly qualified for the final stage of CHAN, Kenya 2018.
