The Recreativo de Libolo on the pathway of Ravens
C2 – QUARTER FINAL IN SEPTEMBER
Mazembe will face Recreativo Do Libolo
July 10, 2017
Qualified after his victory (2-1) over Horoya AC thanks to a technical marvel signed by SINKALA, TP Mazembe knows his future opponent. By finishing first in Group D, he will face the second of Group C. Who is none other than the Angolan team Recreativo Do Libolo.
The last game of the group took place precisely in Angolan soil and ended in a goalless draw between Libolo and the Egyptians of Smouha. Given the disqualification of Al Hilal El Obeid * from Sudan, Zesco United (CAF giving him a 3-0 win) finished first in the pool and Libolo was second behind the Zambians.
A newcomer on the African scene
Club omnisport founded in November 1941, the Team Recreativo Desporte do Libolo, did not really emerge in his country until 2010 with a first champion title like later in 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015.
Most often coached by technicians from Portugal, where the team is also recruiting its best players, the Orange and Blue team is doing its best on the continental level this year.
Its career was as follows:
16èmes de finale | ||
Libolo – Platinum Harare | 2-1
Platinum – Libolo | 0-0 | |
16èmes Bis | ||
CNaPS Sport Madagsacar – Libolo | 1-1
Libolo – CnaPS Sport | 0-0
8èmes Groupe C | ||
Libolo – Al Hilal Elobied | 1-0
Smouha – Libolo | 2-0 | |
Libolo – Zesco | 3-0 | |
Al Hilal – Libolo | 2-0 | |
Libolo – Smouha | 0-0 |
Without the disqualification of the Sudanese, the CRD Libolo would probably have finished in 3rd place and we would not talk about it as future opponent of the TPM.
